The Douglas County Community Foundation is now accepting proposals for funding from the Elizabeth Schultz Environmental Fund. The application deadline is October 1.
The fund supports local efforts to preserve and understand nature. Projects may address the fund’s goals in scientific, cultural, educational, aesthetic or economic ways.
The foundation plans an information session for grant seekers:
September 10 at 4:00 p.m.
Lawrence Public Library, Meeting Room A
Elizabeth Schultz and foundation program officer Marilyn Hull will outline the fund’s purpose and guidelines, highlight important sections of the grant application and answer questions.
The find will provide up to $20,000 in grants this year.
