Enjoy cooking demos and tastings at Sustainable Seafood Soiree

It’s delicious, but is it sustainable? Reserve a spot at the Sustainable Seafood Soiree to learn the best ways to find and prepare sustainable fish. This Kansas City Zoo demonstration and tasting event is April 16 at the Zoo’s Helzberg Penguin Plaza and Tuxedo Grill.

Using sustainable seafood helps the conservation of animals such as sea lions and penguins. Guests from Monterrey Bay Aquarium will speak on the impact Seafood Watch has even in areas as far from the coast as Kansas City.

The adult evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with drinks and cooking demonstrations by Jax Fish House and Hyvee. The event will be held Saturday, April 16 at the Kansas City Zoo, 6800 Zoo Dr., Kansas City, MO.

Tickets are $35 for members and $45 for non-members. Each reservation includes two drink tickets and heavy appetizers. For more information, visit the KC Zoo.
