Join the party at BTG native plant sale

Bridging the Gap (BTG) is opening its doors in the West Bottoms tomorrow for an evening of socializing and a native plant sale.

Enjoy wine, beer and light appetizers as you browse the selection of native plants from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Thursday, September 22 at the historic Hobbs Building, 1427 W. 9th St., Kansas City, MO.

The event is free, but donations will be accepted to support BTG’s environmental programs.

Reservations are required. Go to BTG Social and Native Plant Sale to make a reservation.

Plants may be pre-purchased when making online reservations, or bought at the event. Each plant is in a 2-inch container and costs $4. The plants include:

  • Swamp Milkweed – Asclepias incarnata
  • Common Milkweed – Asclepias syriaca
  • Butterfly Milkweed – Asclepias tuberosa
  • Blue Wild Indigo – Baptisia australis
  • Lance-leaf Coreopsis – Coreopsis lanceolata
  • Purple Coneflower – Echinacea purpurea
  • Sweet Joe-Pye Weed – Eutrochium purpureum
  • Button Blazing Star – Liatris aspera
  • Blue Lobelia – Lobelia siphilitica
  • Missouri Evening Primrose – Oenother macrocarpa
  • Rigid Goldenrod – Oligoneuron rigidum
  • Foxglove Beard Tongue – Penstemon digitalis Slender Mountain Mint – Pycnanthemum tenuifolium
  • Prairie Dropseed – Sporabolus heterolepis
  • New England Aster – Symphyotrichum novae-angliae
  • Spiderwort – Tradescantia ohiensis
