Head out to a Royals’ game, and reduce your carbon footprint by taking the bus. KCATA offers a limited route to Kauffman Stadium on game nights.
RideKC will shuttle fans to the stadium on the 47-Broadway route along Blue Ridge Cutoff seven days a week. The route starts in downtown Kansas City, MO with stops in midtown neighborhoods, the Plaza, east side neighborhoods and Blue Ridge Crossing.
After 6 p.m. on weekdays, Route 47 provides hourly service, with the last westbound bus departing Blue Ridge Crossing at 11:15 p.m. On Saturdays, the route provides hourly service after 6 p.m. and all Saturday night trips will travel between downtown and Blue Ridge Crossing, with the last westbound bus departing Blue Ridge Crossing at 11:17 p.m. On Sundays, Route 47 provides hourly service until 8:30 p.m. All Royals’ scheduled Sunday games are day games.
Schedules are available on buses, in schedule racks and at RideKC. For route and schedule information, contact the Regional Call Center at 816-221-0660, weekdays from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
This sounds easy, but when checking details I cannot see that the bus stops close enough to Kauffman Stadium to walk.
Also, this does not appear to be an “express” bus so the trip would take over an hour with all the stops.

Ree, your understanding is correct. You could also park in public parking along the route, such as near the Plaza or midtown, and shorten the length of the trip significantly. 47 is a local bus and it does take about an hour to travel from downtown to the stop nearest the stadium.
The closest stops to Kauffman Stadium for the eastbound 47-Broadway are northbound Blue Ridge Cutoff at 40th Terr. (near the Taco Bell) and northbound Blue Ridge Cutoff at 41st, (outside of former ITT Tech). The closest stop for westbound 47-Broadway is on southbound Blue Ridge Cutoff between 41st Terr. and Stadium Entrance D Drive. It is a walk, but some of the stadium parking is a pretty far walk, too.
About ten years ago, we ended the “Stadium Express” service. At about the same time, new federal charter regulations were enacted. Those set up some new rules about public transit competing with private businesses that could provide charter service. In recent years a private company did offer a Chiefs game shuttle, but there hasn’t been one for the Royals games.

Looks like there is not even a bus stop sign on the pole there.
My biggest concern is getting out of a game fairly late and not being able to find the right stop to catch a bus back towards downtown, plus, many of the other busses would have stopped running.
The Stadium Express busses covered much more of the city and the busses were all parked in a designated area.
