Course Description: With the world’s population exploding and our environment degrading, the cost of resources from oil to water going nowhere but up – what kind of world are we leaving for our children and grandchildren? This workshop brings attention to a number of environmental issues and the relationship that it has to declining grain and the potential for a global food crisis. The session will also attempt to bring awareness to a related problem – the implications of future disruptions in what has been historically – cheap, and plentiful energy. The program will feature important facts and data made available by two distinguished authors: Lester Brown [World on Edge] and Richard Heinberg [End of Growth].

Bio: Rob Reiman is a devoted environmentalist and board member for Heartland Renewable Energy Society and the Giving Grove. He leads the Environmental Ministry at St Paul’s United Methodist Church in Lenexa.

Cost: There is a one-time only $15 enrollment fee that entitles you to take any classes you choose at Village U.
