Heartland Habitat 25th Anniversary Event

Heartland Habitat for Humanity will hold a picnic event celebrating its 25th anniversary on Saturday, September 29 at Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead. The event will feature Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom, highlighting the importance of providing sustainable habitats for creatures both large and small.
Interactive wildlife presentations will be offered at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. During the presentations, representatives for Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom will talk with families about what they can do to protect the natural habitats of creatures such as the kinkajou, alligator, ringtail lemur, Burmese python and other exotic creatures. In addition to the Wild Kingdom performances, the anniversary event will include food and drinks, a bounce house for children, a magician, face painting, balloon animals and more. The event will be located in the pavilion area of Deanna Rose.
