Introduction to Water Bath Canning
Time: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Water bath canning is a versatile and easy method of preservation. Preserve high-acid foods such as jams, jellies, pickles, relishes, salsas and tomato sauces. Depending on the availability of produce, this class will can two such recipes. The class will also include instruction on the safety and science of water bath canning, a discussion of the many recipes you can try on your own and hands-on canning experience.
All ingredients are organic, and produce is from Fair Share Farm in Kearney, MO.
