Party for the planet at the Kansas City Zoo

Turn trash into sculptures, visit Recycle Cycle and learn how to reduce your carbon footprint at Party for the Planet at the Kansas City Zoo.

Earth Day activities are planned from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 9 and Sunday, April 10 and are free with the regular cost of admission.

Visitors will learn how to reduce carbon footprints, participate in conservation programs and turn trash into treasure by making scraps into sculptures. There will be a special screening of Alvin and the Chipmunks:The Road Chip, at noon both days in the auditorium. 

On Saturday, visitors can meet PBS Kids’ Curious George in Helzberg Penguin Plaza from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
