The most popular time of day at the Helzberg Penguin Plaza at the Kansas City Zoo is feeding time. The warm water and cold water penguins dine at different times, so you have several opportunities to watch them chow down on a fishy feast.
Each penguin is hand-fed and Zoo keepers record how much each bird is eating at every meal. It’s a smelly job but somebody has to do it! These feathered friends love to gobble down.

- 10 a.m. – Cool Pool Penguin Feeding
- 2 p.m. – Humboldt Penguin Feeding
- 3 p.m. – Cool Pool Penguin Feeding
