Drive into the electric vehicle experience with an EV veteran

If you are curious about electric vehicles (EV) and want to learn more, meet a local advocate who has owned EVs for the past 11 years. Al Pugsley, a retired TWA pilot, will talk about his experiences from the time he purchased a converted Chevy S10 pickup truck until his current Tesla S and Leaf SV at a class sponsored by Village Presbyterian Church.

Pugsley will speak on I Drive Electric. You can Too! from 6:30 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 23 at Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS in room 127. He will share his first-hand experiences with early versions of EVs and his current vehicles. He first became involved with EVs in 2006 after viewing the movie, Who Killed the Electric Car, which documented why General Motors stopped manufacturing its innovative GM-EV1 in 1999.

The class is free, but organizers ask participants to register by calling Marianne Weber at 913-671-2333 or email her at [email protected]. Walk-ins are welcome. More information is available at Village Presbyterian Church.
