Volunteer to help KC tackle street litter

Volunteer to help pick up litter at three upcoming events in Kansas City parks and on boulevards.

Sign up for Make a Difference Mondays and help the Kansas City Parks Ambassadors pick up litter along the city boulevards and in city parks. Volunteers are needed from 9:30 – 11 a.m. on Mondays, May 23 and May 30, near 57th street and Paseo Boulevard.

Lakeside Nature Center needs volunteers for a Gregory Boulevard Litter Cleanup from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 20 at 4701 E. Gregory Blvd., Kansas City, MO. Register at KCMO Parks and Recreation.

The parks department will provide bags and gloves for volunteers. Anyone younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Thank you for continuing to promote this. Greenability is why I am a KCParks ambassador. We also attack invasive honeysuckle and help with special events, such as Trunk or Treat at Lakeside Nature Center, inauguration of 19&Mahomes playground at MLK Park, holiday lights in Swope Park….
