Discover EVs at National Electric Drive Week

Tap into the plug-in experiences of electric vehicle (EV) owners and check out their cars at more than 200 locations during National Electric Drive Week.

There are three Electric Drive Week events in the Kansas City, MO / Lawrence, KS area and hundreds of events nationwide during the week of September 23 – October 3. To find an event in the U.S.,  Canada or Mexico, search Drive Electric Week using your city or zip code to locate the closest events.

These events are free and open to the public.

 

Prairie Village – Village Presbyterian Church

Wednesday, September 28: 4 – 7 p.m.

6641 Mission Road (south parking lot), Prairie Village, KS

EV owners will be showcasing their electric plug-in vehicles, including: BMW i3, Chevrolet Bolt, Ford C-MAX Energi, Ford Fusion Energi, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Nissan Leaf, Tesla Model 3, Tesla Model S and Tesla Model Y.

Energy Action Day

Saturday, October 1: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Project Living Proof & Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center, 4750 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO

Meet the EV owners and see their Chevrolet Bolts, Hyundai Ionic Plug-in Hybrid and Tesla Model 3 at the Discovery Center. Then pop over to Project Living Proof and tour an historic home that has been retrofitted with multiple energy-efficient systems to prove that energy-efficient updates to older homes are possible and affordable. Ajia Morris, co-founder of the Greenline Initiative, will speak at 11 a.m. at Project Living Proof.

Lawrence Electric Vehicle Showcase

Sunday, October 2: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

South Park, 1140 Massachusetts St., Lawrence, KS

The Lawrence Electric Vehicle Showcase will display Chevrolet Bolt, Chevy Spark EV, Ford C-MZX Energi, Ford F-150 Lightning pickup, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Lucid Air, Nissan Leaf, Rivian pickup, Tesla Model 3, Tesla Model S, Tesla Model Y, Toyota Prius Prime, Volkswagen ID.4. and electric bicycles. The event will be held in conjunction with the Sustainability Science Fair. It is co-sponsored by the Sustainability Action Network, the city of Lawrence Sustainability Office and the Lawrence Transit System, which will be displaying its new electric bus.
