Growing Growers extends deadline for farm apprenticeships

Every year, Growing Growers helps organize apprenticeships on farms that sell food in the Kansas City metropolitan area (including Lawrence, KS). Farm apprentices work on a local farm to get first-hand, practical experience. They attend monthly workshops and receive direct one-on-one training from their farmer. Lights Out! competition leads to significant savings

After a month of competition, the three University of Kansas buildings competing in the Lights Out! energy-saving contest are making major reductions in their energy use. Bailey Hall, Green Hall and Summerfield Hall have combined to save 10% off their overall energy use, compared to last February.
