Indivisible KC is hosting a free screening of the new documentary, An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power on Wednesday, August 9, as one of 14 free screenings being held in cities nationwide.
The sequel to An Inconvenient Truth follows a decade of former Vice President Al Gore’s efforts to educate individuals on climate change and to change national and international climate policy.
The screening will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, August 9 at the Plaza Cinemark, 526 Nichols Road, Kansas City, MO.
Local chapters of The Indivisible Project, an advocacy group with 5,800 chapters nationwide, are hosting screenings this week in Albuquerque, NM; Austin, TX: Cleveland, OH, Columbus, OH; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Houston, TX; Jacksonville, FL; Knoxville, TN; Las Vegas, NV; New Orleans, LA; Orlando, FL; and Tucson, AZ. Check with local Indivisible groups for specific information.
Tickets to the Kansas City screening will be available on a first-come basis for the first 260 people who register at Indivisible KC by 4 p.m., August 9.
Seats that are not claimed by 6:45 p.m. will be available at the door for unregistered attendees. The group announced the free screening date on opening day, August 4.
