Beginning Beekeeping Workshop

Get advice on starting your first beehive from experts at the Johnson County MO Beekeepers Association Beginning Beekeeping Workshop on Saturday, March 18.

The course offers in-depth instruction on current beekeeping practices, bee equipment, bee biology and anatomy, starting your first hive, what to look for during inspections, products of the hive, and many other honey bee related subjects. Beekeeping supply vendors will also be at the event.

The workshop will be held from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 1302 S. Maguire St., Warrensburg, MO.

Registration is $65, and $75 after March 10th. It includes the workshop, lunch and refreshments, class materials and a one-year membership to Johnson County Mo Beekeepers Association.
