Attend a free, community workshop to help develop a regional Climate Action Plan, and learn about regional climate risks and how to support sustainability, social equity and public health.

The Climate Action Plan Workshop sponsored by Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) and Climate Action KC will be held from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31 at the Kansas City Convention Center, 301 W. 13th St. (Lobby 2100, Bartle Room 2103), Kansas City, MO.

Participants will learn about regional climate risks, vulnerabilities and greenhouse gas emissions. Using this information, table discussions will focus on prioritizing actions across several areas including transportation, energy, buildings, water, food, waste, land use and natural systems to support the regions sustainability and resiliency.

The workshop is free and open to the public and students. Organizers ask participants to consider their carbon footprint and carpool, bike, walk or ride the bus to the workshop.
