Learn a new way to connect with nature and contribute to science at the same time at the Discover Nature: iNaturalist class at Burr Oak Woods Conservation Nature Center.

A naturalist will lead this outdoor activity from 10 – 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15 at the nature center, 1401 NW Park Rd, Blue Springs, MO.

Participants will learn how to use the iNaturalist app to help record wildlife sightings, crowdsource identifications, learn about nature and become a citizen scientist. The iNaturalist project is a joint initiative of the California Academy of Sciences and the National Geographic Society.

The event is free and open to families, but registration is required by July 14 at Missouri Department of Conservation. Participants are asked to download the iNaturalist app before arriving, and meet in front of the nature center.
