Discover energy-efficient options you can take at your home and tour a renovated, energy-efficient, 108-year-old house at the Metropolitan Energy Center (MEC) Energy Action Day – Healthy Homes and Sustainable Rides.

Energy Action Day will be held from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Saturday, October 1 at MEC’s Project Living Proof and Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center, 4750 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO.

Electric vehicles (EVs) will be on display, and visitors can meet the EV owners and see their Chevrolet Bolts, Hyundai Ionic Plug-in Hybrid and Tesla Model 3 at the Discovery Center. Next door, Project Living Proof will be open for tours of this historic home that has been retrofitted with multiple energy-efficient systems to prove that energy-efficient updates to older homes are possible and affordable.

Ajia Morris, co-founder of the Greenline Initiative, will speak at 11 a.m. at Project Living Proof.
