The Johnson County Extension Master Naturalists, in association with Monarch Watch, are hosting a free, family-friendly Pollinator Event to say “hasta luego” to the magnificent Monarch butterfly.
It will be held Saturday, September 30 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Pollinator Prairie, 320 S. Blake St., Olathe KS.
The event includes:
- Native plant sale presented by Parsons’ Gardens (9 a.m. – 12 p.m. or until sold out)
- Monarch Watch Demonstrations, including tagging and releasing monarchs
- “Caterpillar World” by the Johnson County Extension Master Gardeners Wildlife Committee
- “Gardening for Pollinators”, “Bluebird Stewards,” and bat exhibits by the Johnson County Extension Master Naturalists
- Other exhibits and fun games
