The Kansas City Garden Symposium returns with the theme “Garden Obsession.” Hosted by Gardeners Connect, the symposium is a “day of gardening delight you won’t want to miss.”
The event features expert horticulturists Joseph Tychonievich, Ed Lyon, and Chris Fehlhaber presenting six lectures including:
- The Complete Guide to Gardeners: The Plant Obsessed and How to Deal with Them
- Rock Gardening: Reimagining a Classic Style
- Midwest Garden Soils
- Garden Design from a Plant Collector’s Point of View
- A Season of Inspiration: The Year at Chanticleer
- Creating Year-round Beauty in the Garden
The event will be held Saturday, March 25 from 8:15 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. at Rockhurst University Arrupe Hall, 5351 Forest Ave., Kansas City, MO. The registration deadline is Wednesday, March 15.
Tickets cost $99 and include a Garden Symposium tote, speaker handouts, and on-campus lunch.
In addition to the symposium, on Friday, March 24, there is a meet-and-greet event with the speakers from 6 – 8 p.m. There will be plated appetizers, wine, and nonalcoholic punch served. The evening will be hosted in a private residence west of the Brookside neighborhood of Kansas City and is limited to 25 attendees.
