This weekend, local creators and makers will display their repurposing ideas, artistic creativity and biomimicry ingenuity at the Maker Faire Kansas City.
This family-friendly festival brings together the makers, crafters, inventors, hackers, scientists and artists to inspire creativity. Exhibits and demonstrations include repurposed creations, electric vehicles, electronics, food trucks, woodworking, arts and crafts, robotics, makerspaces, bee farms, green household products, robotics and sustainability.
There’s also a new presentation on biomimicry, the practice engineers and scientists use by looking to nature for new innovations and technologies.
The 2019 Maker Faire Kansas City will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, June 22, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 23 at Union Station, 30 W. Pershing Rd., Kansas City, MO. Tickets are $17 per day for adults. Children (ages 3-12) get discounted rates of $11 per day.
