Discover a master naturalist/gardener’s top eight picks for flowering native plants that support wildlife in the home garden at this workshop.

Tom Schroeder will present Native Plants: Eight Flowering Natives that Support a Wildlife Community from 6:30 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 18 at SkillPath Center for Professional Development, 6900 Squibb Road, Mission, KS.  He will look at eight wildflowers that are ideal for a Kansas City garden and will illustrate how to make your yard a welcoming space for birds, butterflies and other wildlife. Schroeder has written extensively on native plants and volunteers with Kansas City Wildlands to maintain and restore prairie habitat in the metro area.

Tickets are $5 and must be purchased in advance from Deep Roots, which is hosting a series a native plant workshops this winter.
