If you’d like to create a pollinator friendly landscape, but your city ordinances don’t allow it, learn how to convince elected officials to change laws to promote native plants and green spaces.

Deep Roots KC and Mid-America Regional Council will host Pollinator Friendly Neighborhoods–With Your City’s Blessing and Help, a free, virtual webinar from 6:30 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1 (CT).

Speakers include Robert Whitman, a landscape architect with Gould Evans, and Luke Chesek, an attorney and native plant advocate. They will introduce participants to the most effective ways to convince city and elected officials to adopt new ordinances that promote pollinator-friendly lawns and green spaces. Learn how native plants affect stormwater run-off, pollution and bring critical habitat back to urban and suburban neighborhoods.
