How can green infrastructure help communities become more resilient to climate change?

A free workshop on Rainwater and Resilient Communities will feature Lisa Treese, senior landscape architect with KC Water, and Laura Adams, green infrastructure practice lead with Black & Veatch, from 4 – 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 20 at Black & Veatch Innovation Pavilion, 11401 Lamar Ave., Overland Park, KS.

The presentation will include:

  • Role of green infrastructure in creating resilient communities
  • Cost and benefits of green infrastructure
  • Logistics for implementation

Municipal staff leadership and elected officials will discuss community engagement, environmental impact and growing green jobs and entrepreneurs.
