Job Description

Brightergy is a fast growing full service solar installation company with offices in Kansas City, St Louis, and Boston.  We are a leader in designing, installing, monitoring and financing solar power systems.  We are looking for a Commercial Sales Representative who is a self-directed super star that can grow our commercial solar sales and  in Boston.  The ideal candidate will have proven success selling directly to Business Owners that operate out of the building they own.  We are looking for an individual who is a strong leader with experience launching a new product or a business plan.  The Director of sales must be comfortable working independently and will report to the VP of Sales.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work with Director of Sales to create and implement overall sales strategies designed to achieve sales objectives
  • Sales of commercial solar systems
  • Track, filter, prioritize sales opportunities and close deals
  • Use CRM to manage the aforementioned
  • Develop sales forecast and budgets
  • Achieve sales and margin goals
  • Proactively identify prospective opportunities and qualify leads
  • Maintain a command of solar energy markets as well as federal and state incentive programs
  • Attend trade shows, seminars, etc and stay up to date with current solar technology trends
  • Manage post sales relationship to foster recommendations and referrals
  • Negotiating contracts

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Solar sales experience a plus, but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 years commercial sales or leasing experience
  • Strong understanding of general financing terms (payback, IRR, ROI, NPV, etc)
  • Must be self-driven, highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Comprehensive experience selling within the B2B market, selling or leasing to building owners is a plus
  • Proven track record closing $100,000+ contracts or leases
  • Solid grasps of capital budgeting and corporate financial analysis-speaking the language of C-level executives
