Job Description

Brightergy is a fast growing full service solar installation company with headquarters in Kansas City.  We are a leader in the Midwest in designing, installing, monitoring and financing solar power systems.  We are looking for a Director of Sales who is a self-directed super star that can grow our commercial solar sales and financing program in St Louis.  The ideal candidate will have proven success selling directly to Business Owners that operate out of the building they own.  We are looking for an individual who is a strong leader with experience launching a new product or a business plan.  The Director of sales must be comfortable working independently and will report directly to the VP of Sales.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work with VP of Sales to create and implement overall sales strategies designed to achieve sales objectives
  • Track, filter, prioritize sales opportunities and close deals
  • Use CRM to manage the aforementioned
  • Develop sales forecast and budgets
  • Work with marketing to define market segmentation and develop effective sales collateral and marketing activities to support sales
  • Achieve sales and margin goals
  • Develop and maintain thorough understanding of competitors
  • Proactively identify prospective opportunities and recommend ideas for growing business
  • Maintain a command of solar energy markets as well as federal and state incentive programs
  • Attend trade shows, seminars, etc and stay up to date with current solar technology trends
  • Manage post sales relationship to foster recommendations and referrals

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Solar sales experience a plus, but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years commercial sales experience
  • Must be self-driven, highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Comprehensive experience selling within the B2B market, selling to building owners is a plus
  • Proven track record closing multi-million dollar contracts
  • Solid grasps of capital budgeting and corporate financial analysis-speaking the language of C-level executives
