Join more than 31,000 people who have trained to be part of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps. The Climate Reality Leadership Project is now accepting applications for a four-day, virtual training program from 6 – 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 24; Sunday, April 25; Saturday, May 1; and Sunday, May 2. Optional interactive sessions are scheduled from Tuesday, April 27 to Sunday, May 2.
The Climate Reality Leadership Corps is a global network of advocates trained to talk about the impacts of climate change and what do to support the shift to clean, renewable energy. Climate Reality leaders are a diverse group of volunteers that give free presentations, work on climate issues, talk to legislators and organize events to educate others and work toward climate solutions.
The training includes presentations by Al Gore, former U.S. vice president and Climate Reality Project founder, along with climate scientists, environmentalists and Climate Reality Project leaders. Participants range in age from 12 to 87 from 157 countries.
Sessions will focus on three key themes in the fight for an equitable and sustainable future:
- Stopping fossil fuel expansion
- Accelerating just climate solutions
- Driving federal climate action in the US
There is no cost to attend and the flexible online format is designed to work with any schedule.
