If you want to start riding your bike around town, but don’t feel confident in city traffic, sign up for the Women Only Confident City Cycling class.
Cyclists will learn new concepts for navigating streets and build practical bike handling skills necessary for city riding. The class begins on Thursday, August 11 from 6-9 p.m. and runs three consecutive Thursdays at BikeWalkKC headquarters, 3269 Gillham Road, Suite C, Kansas City, MO.
This intensive course teaches bike safety and handling skills, culminating in a bike ride. Instructors are female members of BikeWalkKC’s staff and the Women Bike KC Committee. The class is designed for bike commuters, ride leaders, transportation professionals and anyone who wants to lead adult or child bike training. Suggested donation is $25. Sign up at BikeWalkKC or call 816-205-7056.

Participants will bring their own used or new kids’ bike trailer and convert it into a utility cart for hauling groceries, library books or even camping equipment.
Register at BikeWalkKC or call 816-205-7056. The cost is $50 and includes lunch. Proceeds benefit the Women Bike KC initiative.
