This Mother’s Day weekend, venture out to see a slice of farm life and explore a vineyard, sip local wine, meet a Tibetan yak, see a regenerative farmstead and find home grown treats at the Miami County Farm Tour.
Thirteen farms and the Wildwood Outdoor Education Center will be open to visitors from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 7 and Sunday, May 8.
The farm tour offers activities for the whole family. You can play with baby goats and meet alpacas, chickens, sheep, bison and pigs on this free, self-guided tour in eastern Kansas. Most stops will have picnic and rest area amenities. Several farms will have products for sale, including cheese, pecans, fresh vegetables, honey, medicinal herbs, home made goat soap and wine. Visitors can also participate in a new digital scavenger hunt at each stop for a chance to win farm door prizes. Find more information at Miami County Farm Tour.
