Walk, run or ride a trail during Walktober

Discover some of autumn’s most colorful, fall landscapes and get some exercise on a different trail every Sunday in October as part of a community Walktober event.

Kansas City Parks & Recreation has teamed up with BikeWalkKC and Jackson County Parks and Recreation to encourage walking, running and bicycling trails this October, while honoring COVID-19 precautions of social distancing and wearing a face masks when in close proximity to others.

The Walktober schedule includes:

  • Sunday, October 4, Noon – 2 p.m.

Rock Island Trails, 98th Street Trailhead, 12600 E. 98th St., Kansas City, MO

  • Sunday, October 11, 10 a.m. – noon

Riverfront Heritage Trail, Berkley Riverfront Park, 1298 Riverfront Road, Kansas City, MO

  • Sunday, October 18, Noon – 2 p.m.

Indian Creek Trail, Trailside Center, 9901 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO

  • Sunday, October 25, Noon – 2 p.m.

Little Blue Valley Trail, Little Blue Valley Park, 8259 S. Noland Road, Kansas City, MO
