Step aboard a Missouri Department of Conservation boat for a ride down the Missouri River and an evening of river exploration on August 16.
Steve Jacobson, assistant manager of the Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center, will guide the motorboat during the 8-mile round trip ride. He will share some of the river’s history as one of the area’s largest natural resources and dispel some of the myths and fears of the Missouri River. Participants will view wildlife and learn how the river has changed over time.
The ride is from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and is for adults only. The program is free, but registration is required between July 19 and August 14, by calling 816-759-7300.
