Take a Hike, KC launched its new 2023 trail guide this week featuring 60 trails to explore in the Kansas City region. The list includes trails that are 1 mile to trails over 10 miles with paved and dirt options for urban and suburban nature getaways.
The trail guide is available on the Take a Hike, KC website as a printable PDF, and available across the metro at libraries, nature centers, and community centers.
Since it launched in 2021, Take a Hike, KC has become one of Kansas City’s most popular trail guides. Girl Scout Lizzie Place started the Take a Hike, KC website to create a comprehensive guide to trails across Kansas City with the goal of making hiking destinations accessible to everyone.
