Guided Nature Walk at Cedar Niles Park

Grab your hiking boots and get ready for an adventure. Join nature enthusiasts for a woodland walk at Cedar Niles Park with a naturalist.

Expert guest speakers from Johnson County Parks and Recreation will share how their natural resource management practices have supported this woodland ecosystem. Deep Roots naturalist and self-proclaimed “native plant nerd”, Cydney Ross will provide interpretation and inspiration during the hike.

At this time of year, these landscapes are rich in spring ephemeral native plants that provide habitat for wildlife. From the emergence of spring beauties to columbines clinging on moss-covered boulders, experience the magic of nature in person.

Tickets are by donation. Suggested ticket price is $10/person. This event is recommended for adults 18+.

Two hiking times are available:

  • Saturday, April 13, 8 – 10 AM
  • Saturday, April 13 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM
