Grab your hiking boots and get ready for an adventure! Experience prairie blooms and butterflies firsthand on this guided naturalist walk.

Deep Roots and Johnson County Parks and Recreation District are co-hosting the 2024 Guided Naturalist Walks.

On Saturday, June 15, the series will visit the prairies of Shawnee Mission Park. Hike times include 8 AM and 10:30 AM.

Hear the story of natural resource management through the lens of passionate land stewards. Learn how old growth, new, and reconstructed prairies are stitched together across 2,000 acres. Together we’ll experience nature in the best way possible – first hand!
