KC Community Gardens Spring Plant Sale

Shop a variety of plants that were grown in the Kansas City Community Gardens (KCCG) greenhouse, including asparagus, berries, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, collards, kale, and lettuce. Onion, leek and scallion plants and seed potatoes will also be available. Strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries will also be for sale.

KCCG is a non-profit membership organization with annual membership fees ranging from $2 – $45, based on income. Members receive 10 free packets of seeds, a 10-pound bag of chicken manure fertilizer, and discounted pricing on additional seeds, plants and supplies. Memberships may be purchased online or at KCCG’s office.

The sale will be held at KCCG, 6917 Kensington, Kansas City, MO from March 21-23. The first day of the sale, Thursday, March 21, is reserved from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. for KCCG Green and Yellow Card (low-income) members. Beginning Friday, March 22, the sale is open to the public to purchase KCCG memberships, plants, and seeds from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on and 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Saturday.

After the sale days, plants will be available at the KCCG office 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday with extended hours on Tuesdays until 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. through the spring planting season.

Warm season plants will be available beginning April 25 and 26.
