Replace your lawn with an edible garden

Learn how to transform your lawn into an edible landscape of vegetables, herbs and fruit trees at a Food Not Lawns class.

Instructor Steve Mann will teach ecologically sound methods of replacing your lawn with permaculture gardens, edible landscaping, and forest gardens in a three-session CommUniversity class from 7 – 9 p.m. on Wednesdays, October 11, 18 and 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 21.

The October 11 and 18 classes will be held at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, School of Medicine, Room M4-CO5, 2411 Holmes, Kansas City, MO. The October 21 class will include hands-on experience with sheet mulching for lawn eradication at Home Grown Community Garden, 3000 E. 20th St., Kansas City, MO.
