Missouri Organic Earth Day Festival

Join Missouri Organic Recycling for its first-ever Earth Day Festival on April 22. Originally founded on Earth Day 32 years ago, everyone is invited to help celebrate its impact on the community.

It will feature local businesses and organizations making a difference in the community, as well as booths and activities sharing information about the great Atlantic garbage patch, proper ways to recycle, native plants, and how to reduce your waste.

It will be held Monday, April 22 from 6 – 9 PM at Missouri Organic Recycling, 7700 E US Hwy 40, Kansas City, MO.

  • The Resilient Activist
  • New Roots for for Refugees
  • KC Farm School
  • Ripple Glass
  • Suds Refillery
  • Midwest Bee Association
  • After the Harvest

Activities will include yard games, sustainable crafts with Scraps KC, raffles, and educational booths.

The educational booths will feature:

  • The Great Pacific Garbage Patch
  • Reducing your waste & how to recycle properly
  • Vermiculture and the importance of worms in our ecosystem
  • The power of compost with Stan Slaughter
