It’s summer time, and the bees are buzzing. Explore the life of a bee with your little ones at Bees & Pollination at the Museum at Prairiefire’s Little Explorer Club.
Children will learn how bees keep flowers healthy through pollination, the structure of a beehive and why a hive needs a queen. Museum scientists will lead an interactive activity on how bees structure their hives and what role these creatures play in sustaining the ecosystem.
Little Explorers Club sessions are designed for children ages three to five years old. There are four sessions: 10:15 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14 and 10:15 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15. The cost is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Museum at Prairiefire is located at 5801 W. 135th St., Overland Park, KS.
