Give your eclipse glasses a second life. There are several local options to help keep them out of the landfill.
Drop them off at these locations
These locations are collecting used glasses to donate to Astronomers Without Borders and Eclipse Glasses USA where they will get donated to children for future eclipse events.

Mail them to Eclipse Glasses USA
You can also mail your glasses directly to Eclipse Glasses USA if the lenses are not damaged. Glasses can be mailed to: Eclipse Glasses USA. PO Box 50571, Provo, UT 84605.
They only accept US-made glasses that have the manufacturer’s address and contact information and that bear the ISO logo. All other glasses they receive get discarded.
Recycle them at home
The glasses can be recycled at home through with your curbside recycling as long as you remove the lenses. The cardboard frames can be recycled. The lenses themselves are not recyclable and should be thrown away.
