Get a unique look at repurposed, vintage and environmentally conscious clothing at the City Style Fashion Show hosted by Johnson County Community College students.
The fashion runway will showcase sustainable looks using recycled and repurposed clothing from TurnStyles Thrift Stores. Students worked with TurnStyles to design outfits for the store’s windows and displays, and then selected five sustainable looks for the runway as part of a community service and academic project in the JCCC Fashion Merchandising and Design program.
The one-hour City Style Fashion Show will be held at two times, noon and 7 p.m. on Friday, April 20 at Yardley Hall in the Carlsen Center at Johnson County Community College, 12345 College Blvd., Overland Park, KS. Advance tickets are $8 for the general public; $5 for students, faculty and staff; $10 day of the show. Purchase tickets at JCCC. http://www.jccc.edu/carlsen-center-presents/events/2017-2018/fashion-show.htmlAll proceeds benefit student scholarship awards.
