Even with the cancellation of native plant sales, you can still start a native garden this spring with plants from local growers and free delivery or curbside pick-up services.
Here are a few options:
Order plants online for home delivery or pickup at the Brookside Farmers Market on Saturdays, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m., 6321 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO.
Plants can be ordered online or by calling the office at 816-207-7960. The nursery is offering free delivery. The retail location will be open with limited hours Thursdays through Sundays at 3005 Harrison, (behind Ruby Jeans restaurant, 30th and Troost), Kansas City, MO.
Native plants and seeds can be ordered on the website or by calling 573-496-3492 for mail delivery. The plant sales in Kansas City have been cancelled.
Beginning April 11, native plants may be pre-ordered for April 18 pick up at the farm, 17524 178th Street, Tonganoxie, KS.
Plants can be ordered online or by calling 410-989-3721. They will be shipped for free.
