Its new website is now up to date with a database that matches hundreds of recyclable items to over 1,800 services providers and locations.

RecycleSpot first launched in 2006 with the goal of diverting waste from landfills and educating the public about recycling.
It is an initiative of the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) and the MARC Solid Waste Management District with grant funding from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
