This weekend you can recycle razors, toothpaste tubes and brushes, deodorant containers and waste from other personal care products at two locations.
The Resilient Activist and Compost Collective KC are sponsoring recycling drop-off sites and pickup services. Personal care product waste will be collected by Compost Collective KC for current customers during regular pickup or at Kansas City’s Brookside Farmers’ Market from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday, June 12 at 6425 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO. Items can also be dropped off inside the front of St. Thomas More Parish on Saturday, June 12 and Sunday, June 13 at 11822 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO.
Reusable dental, shaving and medicine bottles will be donated to local animal shelters. The Resilient Activist will send recyclables to TerraCycle for recycling.
Accepted waste includes all brands of mouthwash bottles and caps, toothpaste tubes and brushes, floss containers, soap packaging, deodorant containers and caps, disposable razors, replacement blade cartridges and flexible and rigid razor plastic bag packaging.
For more information, visit The Resilient Activist, a community resource for environmental resilience and action, or contact [email protected]. Additional recycling resources include Bridging the Gap’s Recycle program or Recycle Spot.
