When you recycle disposable razors, blade cartridge units and razor plastic packaging, TerraCycle will help build a playground from recycled materials for a military medical center.
TerraCycle, a waste management company, partners with consumer product companies, retailers and cities to recycle products and packages — from dirty diapers to cigarette butts — that would otherwise end up in a landfill. It’s latest effort is a razor recycling challenge that will award the state that collects the most recyclable waste per capita with a new playground made from the recycled materials. It will be awarded to a local Fisher House Foundation location for military children.
Through a partnership with CVS Pharmacy, Gillette and Fisher House Foundation, consumers can recycle their razor waste by downloading a free shipping label and sending razors and packaging to TerraCycle. The challenge deadline is August 31.

This is a great initiative. How I wish other products would follow and make their move.
