Take a guided tour of an all-electric, solar home and get all the details on how to transform your home to save energy.

The home in Parkville, MO features 22 solar panels and energy efficiency upgrades including an all-electric conversion, new attic insulation, blower door tested, a high-efficiency heat pump, an advanced energy monitoring system and more. 

The home was retrofitted by the homeowners for high performance and now reaches near net zero in the summer.

Hosted by the Heartland Renewable Energy Society, the tour will be held on Saturday, October 12 at 10 to 11:30 a.m.

The purpose of the Heartland Renewable Energy Society (HRES) is to further the development and the use of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies, to promote those businesses on the cutting edge of renewable energy, and to educate the public, businesses and our policy makers on the need to create a clean, safe, renewable energy future.
