Help Habitat ReStore support affordable housing by volunteering at a store or donating new or gently used residential building materials, household furniture and appliances.
There are several opportunities to volunteer at Habitat ReStore, including helping customers, stocking items, unloading trucks and pricing materials for sale. You can volunteer individually or as group or community.
ReStore locations collect and sell donated items, including: cabinets, ceiling fans, countertops, doors, drywall, electrical supplies, fencing, fireplaces, flooring, furniture, garage doors, hardware, HVAC equipment, lights, lumber, plumbing supplies, roofing, shelving, showers, shutters, siding, sinks, swing sets, tile, toilets, tools, trim and wallpaper.
Sales from Habitat ReStore support the mission of Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City to provide families with good, affordable housing. Since 1979, the local Habitat has helped more than 600 families with housing, while diverting tons of unused building materials from local landfills.
