Kids can uncover mythical creatures, hang out with koalas and learn about animal poop at the Kansas City Zoo spring and summer camps.
March Day Camps
Zoo day camps serve ages 6-12 on holidays when school is not in session. The camps are designed to be fun and engaging learning experiences. They typically run 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and cost $45 per day/member and $50 per day/non-member. After hours childcare will be available at $13.50/member and $15/non-member. March events include:
- March 14: What’s the Dif? day camp will uncover the differences between alligators and crocodiles, butterflies and moths, and tortoises and turtles. Learn more.

Spring Break Camp
Open to children ages 6-12, this three-day Pathfinder Camp is designed for spring break from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., March 16-18. The camp will uncover mythical creatures like unicorns, dragons and mermaids to explore myths and stories. Cost is $150. After hours childcare will be available at $13.50/member and $15/non-member. Summer Camps
The zoo hosts a variety of summer camps for different age groups and interests. Zoofari Adventures is a five-day camp grouped by age for children 4-12 years old. It includes personal tours and fun-filled activities and experiments. The zoo also offers a Junior Zoologists camp for teenagers ages 13-15 interested in five science-intensive days learning about the zoo’s day-to-day operations. For children ages 5-10 with a creative bent, the zoo hosts a two-week camp where they spend half their time at the zoo, and the other half at Starlight Theater acting in an Act like an Animal presentation.
