Missouri Organic Recycling started the Climate-Friendly Yard Makeovers to demonstrate how a typical yard can become climate-friendly by adding native plantings, prairie patches, a pollinator garden, bioswale, berm, food forest, rain garden or vegetable garden.
In 2022, three local homeowners were chosen as winners of the makeovers and have spent two years transforming their yards with expert help and resources.
