Puppets A Glow-Go & Handmade Parade for the Planet and Festival
Puppets a Glow-Go is back for its fifth year of free family fun at the National WWI Museum and Memorial.
This year the event also features the new Handmade Parade for the Planet and Festival.
Puppets A Glow-Go Event
The popular Puppets A Glow event features dozens of giant puppets, aerialists, and glow performers for a free spectacle for the entire family with drive-through and walking options on Friday and Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m.
Handmade Parade for the Planet and Festival
This year, kids can join in the puppet fun and celebrate the planet with environmental activities, art, music, food trucks, and a community parade of handmade puppets and costumes. The festival will be held from 12 to 4 p.m. with the Blue Planet Handmade Parade at 3 p.m.

Friday, September 13
- Puppets A Glow-Go – 7 – 10 p.m. (Drive or walk through)
- Location: Enter from Main and Memorial or Wyandotte and 31st street if driving. Kessler Drive will be closed.
Saturday, September 14
- Handmade Parade for the Planet and Festival – 12 – 3 p.m.
3 p.m. Handmade Parade for the planet with giant puppets - Puppets A Glow-Go – 7 – 10 p.m. (Walk through only)
- Location: In the U-Drive in front of the National WWI Museum and Memorial, 2 Memorial Drive, Kansas City, MO
- Handmade Parade for the Planet and Festival – 12 – 3 p.m.
