Hasta Luego Monarchs Event & Native Plant Sale

Fall tradition celebrates monarch butterflies. As fall approaches so does one of nature’s greatest mysteries. It’s the annual monarch butterfly migration, when thousands of monarchs pass through the Lower Midwest heading for Mexico.

The Johnson County Extension Master Naturalists invite you to be a part of the magic on Saturday, September 28th at the Pollinator Prairie in Olathe.

The celebratory Hasta Luego Monarchs event is free and open to the public. It features exhibits, a native plant sale, games, activities and fun for all ages.

It will also include Monarch Watch demonstrations including tagging and releasing monarch butterflies.

The native plant sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (or until sold out) with plants from Parsons’ Gardens. All proceeds benefit the Pollinator Prairie.
